NASPO ValuePoint Cloud Solutions Vendor Receives Participating Addendum from The State of Delaware
Strategic Communications, a NASPO ValuePoint Cloud contract holder, was awarded a Participating Addendum (PA) from The State of Delaware. With this PA, Delaware State government, Local government, and educational institutions (K-12 and Higher Ed) possess the capability to seamlessly purchase multiple cloud solutions. “Public agencies within Delaware have urgent technology transformation needs in addressing a number of challenges brought on by the pandemic”, says Blake Kelly, Cloud Sales Manager at Strategic Communications. “Utilizing the vast array of cloud products/solutions available on our NASPO ValuePoint catalog, Delaware agencies now have a streamlined way to purchase, deploy, and configure cloud-based platforms which enable secure remote collaboration, distance learning, and telehealth.” Kelly went on, “In fact, we were able to meet the urgent requirement of new-COVID strain testing for the state in a matter of days, by deploying new cloud-hosted IaaS environment.”
Strategic’s NASPO ValuePoint Cloud Catalog
Strategic Communications currently possesses PA agreements with 11 other states and have implemented solutions through the state-wide contracts. To elaborate, these solutions include IaaS & PaaS services from AWS, Microsoft, & Google, along with Office 365 migrations, Cisco WebEx, TPx Managed SD-WAN and Collaboration, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and more. According to the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), the top concerns facing state CIOs are cybersecurity, connectivity, and cloud. Strategic’s NASPO ValuePoint Cloud catalog addresses those top concerns. “We are seeing migrations from on-premises data centers to hybrid and full cloud environments”, says Kelly. “Managing multiple environments and establishing consistent policies across those environments are mission-critical for security and compliance standards. Strategic’s NASPO ValuePoint Cloud catalog enables CIOs in addressing compliance standards such as NIST, CMMC, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP Moderate and High, and CJIS”.
The rapidly changing pandemic situation requires State and Local CIOs to be flexible and agile in addressing the technological needs of their citizens. These requirements put tremendous strain on IT departments to keep up. The NASPO ValuePoint Cloud Solutions co-operative contract provides public sector IT departments the necessary infrastructure, applications, management, and automation to innovate and solve challenges in real-time. “We are very excited to work with the State of Delaware from a cloud-first perspective”, says Kelly. “The initiatives being planned by Delaware will enable State and Local government agencies in supporting the technology needs of their citizens”!
