Kathy Mills

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kathy Mills has over 30 years of experience in starting and running successful multi-city, technical sales organizations. Kathy and her husband founded one of the first computer stores in Louisville, Kentucky in 1984. After expanding to multiple locations, they sold their company to a large conglomerate in 1992. Kathy decided to get back into the technology business in 1994 and has since grown Strategic Communications exponentially over the last few years. Her efforts and those of the Strategic team were recognized when the company received honors as part of the 2011 (#641), 2012 (#41), 2013 (#489) and 2014 (#1486) Inc. 500|5000 awards for the company’s exceptional growth. Kathy serves as Secretary for the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee and is a member of the Computer Reseller News and Enterprising Women Advisory Boards. She actively volunteers for multiple organizations focused on advancement of women and minorities including Louisville’s branch of NAWBO. Kathy holds multiple manufacturer and vendor certifications including: Cisco Sales Expert, Cisco SMB Account Manager and SMB Engineer, Cisco Sales Specialist for Architecture, APC Sales Professional, Dell, and Jupiter.

Brian Walls

Director of Operations

Brian Walls has over 15 years of experience in Telecommunications and IT services. After a successful nine year career in Bardstown’s automotive industry, he began his IT industry career as a Phone Systems/PBX Technician with Cedco in Louisville, KY. Brian then moved on to work for Expanets, a network systems integrator (acquired by Avaya), installing structured cabling solutions. After joining Strategic Communications in 2000 as an Infrastructure Lead, Brian received a promotion to Project Manager, then Manager of the Infrastructure Department and ultimately, Director of Operations. Brian has responsibility for Service Delivery management on all contracts, including government and commercial customers and multi-site services contracts. Brian also serves as the Facility Security Officer. In conjunction with Kathy Mills, CEO, Brian guides the overall development of operational policies and procedures for the organization. Brian holds multiple professional and manufacturer certifications including: BICSI Level II Installer, Siemon Installer/Designer, Bogen, Cisco, Cooper/B-Line and Polycom.

Paige Reh

Director of Human Resources

Paige Reh has over 10 years of experience in successfully managing all Human Resources functions for both national and international organizations with a focus on the IT industry. Her background also includes public relations and account management at a nationwide commercial wireless internet provider. Prior to Strategic, Paige spent five years with nationwide ITS solutions provider, Beacon Solutions. During that time, the company expanded operations to include the Czech Republic, Ireland, and the United Kingdom adding to her depth of knowledge surrounding employment law. Having been through multiple acquisitions across various organizations, she has the experience to aid Strategic Communications in balancing HR priorities when faced with rapid growth. Paige has responsibility for nationwide recruitment, compensation management, benefits administration, training, compliance reporting, performance management and employee relations. In conjunction with Kathy Mills, CEO, she helps guide the overall strategic direction of the company’s staffing and human capital objectives. Paige graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and from Sullivan University with a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Leadership. She holds PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.
