Every month, the employees at Strategic Communications are given the opportunity to acknowledge exemplary colleagues within or outside their department. Three individuals were chosen by their coworkers for their commitment to customer service, perseverance in the face of challenges, and can-do attitudes!
Neal Heumann | IT Project Manager
• How long have you worked for Strategic Communications?
I’ve been at Strategic since mid-August of this year
• What was your background prior to working for Strategic Communications?
I’ve previously worked as a project/program manager for both industrial equipment as well as software development. Academically I’m a graduate of Florida Tech (Go Panthers!), and I’m a PMP/CSM as well
• What aspect of your job do you find most rewarding or fulfilling?
I find the most satisfaction in properly predicting issues before they arise and then executing on actions that eliminate the potential for those issues to occur, as well as seeing the benefits of operations being run smoothly & efficiently in a nominal sense
• What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
The best career lesson I’ve learned has been to not be reticent to ask for help or lean on the team rather than try and cover everything singularly; We are never as strong or effective as when we are as a cohesive team rather than a collection of talented individuals
• Outside of work, what are you passionate about/enjoy doing?
My hobbies outside of work are historical reenactment, HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts – I run the Louisville Chapter of ARMA www.thearma.org ), and the wide gamut of video/rpg games (my ever dwindling time permitting!)
• What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?
Lately I had a blast with season 2 of Loki, and I’m currently reading to The Republic of Pirates
• What is something that people may not know about you?
Something few know about me is that I love a good thrill – I’m an aerobatic stunt-rated pilot, and I’ve also done real armored historic Jousting too (to name some of the more glamorous activities).
Cheyenne Meredith | Human Resources Office Administrator

• What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on at Strategic?
The Partner Alliance Community. I enjoyed creating the contract process for our partners and learning literally everything. I’m happy Amanda is here to make us and our partners the one-stop-shop! I know the vision of PAC and I can’t wait to see it in action
• What does your dream vacation look like?
Tropics with warm ocean water and reggae music playing in the distance. Smooth waters for snorkeling & riding a sea-doo to see turtles swimming by. Island dogs walking around trying to make friends, large hermit crabs migrating to the ocean and peacocks running around just for fun. A boardwalk on the ocean with large fruity drinks serving curry chicken and veggies. Last but not least, an Air B&B with a neighbor playing a ukulele singing some where over the rainbow
• Who is your favorite musical artist, and what was the first concert you attended?
Psh.. That’s hard because my music is so broad. I like music from the 50’s to 2015ish…. After that, it’s very few songs. The top genres on Spotify are Nostalgic, HipHop, Classics, Rock, Pop, Ska & Soundtracks. My first concert was at Disney (CA) House of Blues to see the American Rock Band called Cake with my aunt and uncle. Although, one of the best concert performances I’ve see was from Aquabats, they put on a fun show 😊

Organized, Reliable and a Foodie
• What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book?
A movie I would recommend is Sound of Freedom (2023) – It’s a true story
