Strategic’s July Employees of the Month

Every month, the employees at Strategic Communications are given the opportunity to acknowledge exemplary colleagues within or outside their department. Three individuals were chosen by their coworkers for their commitment to customer service, perseverance in the face of challenges, and can-do attitudes!

Brandon Bersuder | Accounting Administrator

• How long have you worked for Strategic Communications?

I have been working for Strategic Communications since April of this year, only 4 months.

• What was your background prior to Strategic?

I worked previously for a Canadian based subcontractor through Ford, named Ground Effects LTD. We worked on big super duty F-350s and F-450s spray in bed liners and specialty trucks. I started as an accessory installer level 2 due to my graphics experience, then got promoted to their Office administrator position and did more office work, such as purchasing and logistics, vendor relations, and daily reports for Ford. Before Ground Effects, I worked in healthcare as a Drug Technician, working in the courthouse of Bowling Green to test rehabilitators and make sure they were doing ok as far as addictions and lifestyles. I am currently in school at Sullivan University pursuing my bachelor’s in business administration.

What aspect of your job do you find the most rewarding or fulfilling?

Learning new things, learning that not everyone does things the same way as I do. It’s a learning curve, but I like a challenge that’ll keep me on my toes and keep me busy.

• What is the best career lesson you have learned so far?

That patience is the most crucial aspect of not only my job, but my outside life as well. I’m a quick learner and tend to rush things, but since being here I’ve learned that slowing down and making less mistakes will always have the best outcome compared to rushing one task to get to another.

• Outside of work what are you passionate about?

I’m a jack of all trades, master of none. I work on my computer, I work on my cars, and looking to get a motorcycle here soon. I love doing things with my girlfriend and her family, such as craft shows and game nights. I spend time together with my brother all the time and we either play games or go to the movies or go hiking somewhere. I like going to the gym and working out, however, I’m a big food guy so I can always be found next to a food table.

What is your current favorite TV Show, Podcast, or Book that you’d like to share with the world?

OH that’s a tough one. Ok, so a podcast I’ve been listening to is Different Church on Spotify, which is religious based and, in my opinion, spreads a lot of great information. A TV show I’m watching currently is The Bear on Hulu with my girlfriend. Also I’m also a HUGE anime fan, and Demon Slayer is currently dropping their Swordsmith Village Arc, so I watch that on the treadmill while I’m at the gym ha-ha.

• What is something that people may not know about you?

I was raised in an artistic family, where everyone did something regarding the arts either in or out of school. Over the span of 14 years, I have learned how to play flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, bass saxophone, tuba, baritone, trombone, trumpet, French horn, percussion of all shapes and sizes, guitar and bass guitar, and piano.
